In Balance Pilates

In his book “Return to Life through Contrology” Joseph Pilates presents his method as the art of controlled movements. He developed this method in the early 20th century and is practiced world-wide.

In Balance Pilates Studio was founded by Alècha Beyers in 2016, to share her passion for this art of Pilates with others.

My motto in life has always been to have BALANCE in all you do. Whether its in your daily life, school, health, sports or hobbies. My mum always said "alles met 'n TE vooraan is te veel!". And I believe everything you do, you have to give it your all... So this brings me to being IN BALANCE. I am passionate about dancing, movement of the human body, creating body awareness, good posture and muscle balances.

Alècha received her Comprehensive Pilates training though BASI Pilates, a leading Pilates education academy with a reputation for innovation, dedication and academic excellence. The studio has 4 qualified instructors and offers various group, private and semi-private classes. We also have speciality classes such as classes for the elderly and pre- and postnatal classes.

Pilates is a body - mind - soul

that serve as the foundation for every class, every session and indeed, every movement.

These principles are: awareness, balance, breathing, control, centre, concentration, efficiency, flow, precision and harmony.
