Natalie Hutton Educational Psychologist
I am a qualified educational psychologist with a special interest in educational assessments and overcoming barriers to learning. I have an educational background, having qualified as a teacher in 2008. I have worked in schools since 2009, in a variety of contexts (both local and aboard) and with a variety of ages (junior primary through to high school). I have also worked as a learning support teacher and have insight into the application of recommendations in the school context. I believe that it is critical to work with teachers, parents and support staff for the best interests of the child.
I am passionate about bridging the gap between education and psychology and am uniquely placed to do so.
I also offer educational assessments for the purpose of applying for IEB accommodations (IEB concessional applications). An IEB assessment is necessary in order to make an application for concessions for matric.
I am currently also offering a range of educational talks/workshops. I have developed a variety of topics of interest to those in the educational context. These are well suited to school staff development programmes, as well as community-focussed information events. My experience shows me that these are equipping, uplifting and uniting when delivered.
