In 1990  Ms Meersingh  became the founder and director of  Shereen Meersingh & Associates  a wholly black and female  owned Level 1 B-BBEE bespoke Law firm, offering ethical and transparent legal services nationally, with branches  in KZN and Gauteng.

Ms Meersingh notably strives to be at the forefront of women and children’s rights.  She advocates for female empowerment children’s welfare and gender equality.  She embodies the change, she visualizes for the world.  Ms Meersingh has established a pristine reputation and is commended for her negotiations skills, strategic thinking and dedication to clients.  Her reputation   has earned her numerous accolades having been chosen as a delegate in the committee of the draft SA Constitution on the Women’s and Children Charter.  She acted as legal representative at the Truth and reconciliation commission.
