Natalie Buttress Incorporated (trading as NB Hearing & Balance) is an independent private audiology practice. We assess and manage the needs of patients from 24 hours after birth,throughout a person’s lifespan. We’ve been dedicated to changing the lives of patients through assessment and management of their hearing, sound processing and balance concerns since 1995! Our core ethos is developing strong relationships, with a deep commitment to the needs of each person through high standards of clinical and ethical care.
We have 6 audiologists and 4 administrators at our 5 branches across the Cape Peninsula. Our team feels privileged to holistically understand each person’s needs through our most valuable commodity - generous time! We fully understand a patient’s concerns and goals; provide comprehensive assessments using world-class, calibrated equipment; and provide management plans for hearing, sound processing problems (auditory processing, misophonia, tinnitus and hyperacusis) and balance disorders.
We remain mindful of the whole person we’re helping so supportive counselling and strong inclusion of the person in their own healthcare process, is key. Our team shares the vision about the importance of facilitating each person’s journey. We listen and respond to the goals defined by the person whose quality of life has been trustingly placed with us. When assessing a patient, we go beyond the symbols and graphs of our professional language to ensure that each person fully understands the results of their evaluation. More importantly, we deliver an understanding of how strengths can be maximised and deficits supported towards success. We provide resources to our patients to protect their future hearing and prevent falls, cognitive change, isolation and withdrawal.
