Michelle Ash Audiology (MAA) is an independent audiology practice based in Plettenberg Bay’s most vibrant suburb.

Led by audiologist Michelle Ash herself, the practice strives to combine clinical excellence with warm, compassionate service.
The practice emphasises a truly individualised approach: recognising that hearing is not just about ears, but also about cognition and how the brain processes sound. MAA offers a full suite of services including diagnostic evaluations of hearing and tinnitus. Michelle emphasises that “it’s your brain that hears” — highlighting a holistic view of hearing health, that includes cognitive screening.
Clients are offered personalised hearing solutions which include cutting edge technology that use AI to deliver, natural, comfortable sound with ease. A strong aftercare programme helps support clients throughout their hearing health journey.
Our mission has always been to deliver deeply personal, client-centred hearing care. With over 25 years’ experience, that same philosophy has evolved into something more – private coaching for audiologists and hearing care professionals. Michelle brings insights from business, marketing and practice management to creating a space for growth and strategy, supporting other audiology professionals who seek guidance on how to build a thriving practice.
This work is a natural extension of my clinical career. Just as I help clients reconnect with the world around with them, coaching allows me to help colleagues reconnect with their purpose and confidence and clarity in the work they are also passionate about.
This has enabled me to partner with younger audiologists in establishing several new practises in the Western Cape, helping launch their careers in the field of audiology and contributing to the growth and awareness of hearing health in South Africa.
