Dr Lynne Radomsky Clinical Psychologist
“For the first time, I understand why certain patterns keep recurring in my life and my relationships … and how I could now live more authentically.”
[Reflection from a woman, 52 years old]
I have worked therapeutically for more than 20 years in clinical practice with individual adults and couples. My work focuses on many forms of psychological suffering: depression, anxiety, bereavement, loss, psychosomatic problems, personality disorders, and trauma.
I also engage with people who do not suffer from any particular mental disorder, but are struggling with difficulties concerning relationships, professional choices, life transitions and the challenges of parenting. I use different modalities including mindfulness, art, sand tray, movement, deep relaxation and dream work.
Often when we are facing a crisis or experiencing a difficult stage of life, the temptation is to look for a quick fix to our problems. We want a solution or a prescription. We want the conflict to be solved and our suffering to go away.
While this is a natural and understandable need, it does not always provide a long term or permanent solution to psychological difficulties. Psychological and emotional change requires a dedicated commitment to the therapeutic process which often takes time and patience.
In addition to my work as a clinical psychologist which involves the diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders, I have specialised in the approach of C. G. Jung. Jungian Analysis is the most unique adventure a person can embark upon.
“Dreams are invariably seeking to express something the ego does not know and does not understand.”
- G. Jung
Jung developed and proved the usefulness of his methods of analysis in the psychiatric ward. However, his particular approach is not limited to those experiencing mental disorders. Many psychologically healthy people are discovering the value his work which has influenced a number of therapeutic methods including theories of personality development, personality types and relationship therapy.
Jungian Analysis is about uncovering the patterns of thinking, feeling and behaviour that have followed us throughout our lives, often in a detrimental way, and how to live a more authentic life.
