Adele Geldenhuys Physiotherapy

Adele graduated with a BSc(Physiotherapy) from WITS University in 2003. After graduation she completed her compulsory year of community service at Nokuthela Ngwenya Community Health Centre in Dunnotar, Nigel.

In 2005, Adele opened her own practice focussing on sports injuries, back and neck pain and post surgical rehabilitation.

Adele has completed a Gyrokinesis Level 2 instructors course as well as a Spidertech instructors course. She presents the Spidertech courses to fellow physiotherapists and allied health professionals.

Adele completed her MSc(Med) in the field of Exercise Science in 2012, with her research focussing on the radiological changes in the spine of elite female artistic gymnast and has continued to work extensively with the South African artistic team.

Adele has worked and travelled extensively with numerous sporting teams, both provincially and nationally. The teams include:

Adele is registered with the HPCSA, SASP and is a registered sports physiotherapist with SASMA. She is also a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society.

Adele is a avid MTB and runner, and has completed 94.7, Argus and Double Century cycle races, Berg and Bush MTB stage race, and numerous half marathons including the 2Oceans half. She has a special interest in sports injury rehabilitation and prevention and treats numerous triathletes, cyclists, runners and gymnasts. She also has an interest in back and neck pain, post surgical orthopaedic and spinal rehabilitation.
