My name is Alisha Lalbeharie and I am a Podiatrist in Ladysmith KZN. I obtained my B Tech Podiatry Degree in 2019 at the University of Johannesburg thereafter I opened my practice in February 2020
at Essen Medical Centre in Ladysmith KZN.

I am currently the only podiatrist in my area as well as a few surrounding areas. I chose Podiatry as a profession because I always wanted to work in a medical field and after much research, I found Podiatry to be the field of choice for me. I am passionate about helping people and feel absolutely delighted when I can make someone feel better.

A Podiatrist is a healthcare professional who assess, diagnoses, manages, treats, and prevents conditions associated with the lower limb. We also form part of a patient’s management plan if they have systemic conditions such as Diabetes, Arthritis or any type of blood flow and nerve problems.

As a Podiatrist treatment offered at my practice range from treatment of skin conditions such as corns and fungal infections to nail surgery and diabetic foot care but, podiatrists treat all conditions associated with the lower limb.
