I have always been interested in interiors- from a little girl I would move my bedroom furnishings around and create ‘My space”. In later years the excitement of fabrics and interiors and creating was always prevalent – as well as the need to do things practically.

This led to me doing a course in Interior design – also a year’s stint working for an interior designer – but then life and family catches up with one and I would be lead down a different path.

In-between I worked for friends and a few  clients around the country – as well as doing much painting of walls and refurbishing furniture  for a few decorators.  I also had a retail store importing furniture and accessories from Bali for a few years which was great fun. Miss the travellng.

So, the interior and the eye for detail just kept on inspiring me – it uses all parts of my brain- creativity, colour, fun, and is always a challenge on how to make the most of a space and create a home where people love to come home to. I love all those areas of thought and my clients’ homes give me countless sleepless nights as I lie awake envisaging all the details and new ideas and how to make it better.

Interior design is a long-term game, time to know the project and the client’s needs and desires, the prep work of measuring and spacial planning, the sourcing, presentations and the hundreds of small decisions and alternatives as well as the execution. But the satisfaction of sitting back and admiring makes it all worth it.

I’ve completed a range of projects from guest houses, restaurants, commercial designs, and private homes. Luckily where we live, I get to work on the coast, in the bush and the city.

I am also offering online design services for individuals who need help with certain rooms or design ideas. Technology has made it all possible to assist wherever the client is and with whatever they need.
