I started doing freelance bookkeeping more than 20 years ago, wanting to work from home in order to be available to my kids, who were young then.  I offer a much needed, cost effective service to businesses that don’t need a full time bookkeeper. As my business grew, I wanted to be able to offer my clients more. Bookkeeping goes hand-in-hand with tax and with more clients needing help with their tax, I educated myself further in that direction. My clients then had the convenience of having just one person doing their books and their tax.
With my business continuing to grow and expand and in order to still offer excellent service to my clients, my daughter, Bianca, joined me in the business which gives us enough trusted woman power to handle bookkeeping, payroll and tax. It is wonderful to work with my daughter, as communication is easy and we work well as a team.
My job satisfaction and passion comes from being able to help people with their books and tax returns and taking that hassle out of their lives.  Many people are too busy to deal with the extra paperwork.  I believe that everyone is good at something, and everyone should do what they are good at, which is running their businesses successfully.  I am good at bookkeeping and tax, and that’s the service I provide, saving my clients time to pursue what they are good at, and to run their businesses effectively. 
In recent years I have especially appreciated my job because of the life it has given me; the flexibility has allowed me to live happily on my small holding with my dogs and horses and to live the relaxed, fulfilling life that I do.
