Chantelle Hawkins has always wanted to make a difference in people’s lives by empowering them to manage and take control of their health conditions.
With this in mind she attended Rand Afrikaans University from 1999 to 2002 where she obtained a B. Com Degree in Sports Management, with Honours in Biokinetics .
On completion of her studies she did her internship at Technicon Witwatersrand.
Her practice “CHANTELLE HAWKINS BIOKINETCS” opened in 2005 and is located at a popular Health Club, situated in the Cresta/Northcliff area.
The practice now has a three fully qualified biokineticists attending to all the patients individual needs, offering a wide scope of treatment including; Orthopaedic, Neurological (Parkinson’s’, stroke, cerebral palsy) and Chronic disease rehabilitation (diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol etc.)
Through Chantelle’s great people skills and hard work she has built up a strong base of doctors who refer patients to the practice.
Seeking further challenges, she opened an Associate practice at another popular Health club at Brightwater Commons.
The focus of the practices is the rehabilitation of injury and treatment of disease using physical activity as a primary modality of care as well as the prescription of exercise as well as lifestyle interventions aimed at enhancing the total well being and quality of life for individual patients.

On a personal note:
Chantelle is a wife as well as a mother to two beautiful daughters, one aged 4 and a half and a baby of 1 month old.
She has competed and completed 2 Ironman Triathlons as well as a down run in the Comrades Marathon.
In 2011, she represented South Africa at the World Touch Rugby tournament held in Scotland.
Her “Mantra” in life is an echo of the famous words spoken by Nelson Mandela, “IT ALWAYS SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE UNTIL IT IS DONE”
