Cheylee Smith is a qualified podiatrist (a health professional who who deals with the diagnosis and management of lower limb pathologies).

She is a member of the Health Professions Council as well as the Podiatry Association of South Africa. She obtained her Bachelors of Technology in Podiatry in 2004, where she qualified top of her class. She has been involved in various publications including having written numerous articles for the Longevity Magazine. Cheylee is well established having practiced in the Fourways area since 2005. She was invited to join the multi-disciplinary team in 2010 by the Life Group in Fourways. Here are a few pathologies that a podiatrist would deal with:

Dermatological: corns, callus, ingrown toe nails (surgical and non-surgical treatment thereof), fungal infections of nails and skin, warts

Biomechanical: foot pain,  flat feet, high arches, knee pain, shin splints, iliotibial band friction syndrome, pigeon toes, knock knees, lower back pain, limb length discrepancy, corrective supports

Diabetic foot care and assessment.
