Desiree Phillips Attorneys

Desiree holds B.A. Law and B.Proc degrees attained at the University of Johannesburg (formerly RAU).   Desiree has been an admitted attorney since 1994, is a registered debt counsellor since 2008 and has been on the Gauteng Committee of DCASA (Debt Counsellors Association of South Africa) since end of 2015.  She has also completed an Advanced Course in Insolvency at the University of Pretoria in middle 2016.

Her experience is vast and diverse ranging from collections, contracts, litigation, insolvency with emphasis on consumer assistance and debt counselling. This experience has been obtained in both the Corporate and own practice environment.

Desiree is passionate about uplifting others and imparting with knowledge and has been involved in training and facilitating for the past 4 years. She offers courses in legal subjects like Debt Collections, Estates, Legal Writing and Wills & Estates to assist individuals who are interested in bettering their career prospects.

Currently, she has her own legal practice in Randburg and specialises in assisting consumers with their financial issues.  A holistic service is offered looking after the general wellbeing of consumers including last wills and testaments and estates.  Due to her vast experience in collections and contracts she is also able to provide sound advice on the validity of credit agreements and any legal documentation that consumers have received.  Desiree can also provide assistance with Emoluments Attachment Orders and in particular the validity thereof and looking at balances owing.  Her background in Insolvency assists consumers with advice at looking at Insolvency as a last resort.

Her practical and hands-on experience over the years means that she is able to offer sound and practical legal advice for which she is well respected.
