At Die Ou Pastorie you are truly spoiled for choice experience wise. On those chilly autumn and winter evenings you can dine in the beautiful old home next to a crackling log fire and when the warm spring and summer nights return you can dine under the stars within a garden whose trees provide a private amphitheatre and wonderfully peaceful ambience. Our cuisine is fresh, locally sourced, indulgent and wonderfully innovative and our style of meal is wholesome country. Everything about Die Ou Pastorie has been painstakingly shaped to provide you with an intimate, relaxing and homely out-in-the-country experience and as such we are not in the business of turning tables. Kick back and relax, laugh, unwind, connect with friends and family, have fun and breathe in some good Nature again all whilst enjoying superb food, good wine and great entertainment – now that’s what we’re all about.
Closely in touch with our country’s artistic exuberance, Die Ou Pastorie provides the ideal environment to showcase talented people. Our regular lunch and weekend music events are extremely well patronised and you now have to book in advance if you desire to experience one of these. Notable performers to visit Die Ou Pastorie include legendary South African musicians Steve Newman, Guy Buttery, Arno Carstens, Greg Georgiades, Andra, Chris Chameleon and Dan Patlansky. Cat Simone and Paul Spence who do dinner theatres have proven to be a smash hit with patrons as have bands like Runaway Train Cult and Atmosferic Jazz. Once a month there is a Friday Forum featuring matters of local interest such as health, conservation projects, personal growth, financial matters etc.
