Ferndale Optometrists was established in 2010. We are situated in the Ferndale Village centre in Ferndale.
Bernadette has been the owner and optometrist here since 2010.
We are equipped with state-of-the-art optical equipment and we offer a 45-minute eye examination to all our patients. Bernadette also has a very special interest in paediatric optometry. We examine school going children from the ages of 5 and above and offer visual therapy when spectacles are not required.
We believe in offering a thorough eye examination to all. This includes evaluating vision, muscle balance, measuring of eye pressure, scanning photos of the corneas, to taking photographs of the retina of the eyes. We in this way, are able to detect eye diseases and complications, and refer swiftly to ophthalmologists if needed.
We are also equipped to assist with contact lens patients especially speciality contact lenses like Scleral contact lenses, hard contact lenses as well as Orthokeratology.
