Food Matters is an owner-run catering company operating from Ballito, the preferred caterer of blue chip clients wanting corporate functions in KwaZulu-Natal, and the preferred supplier at many of the provinces’ beautiful wedding venues. Corporate clients return each year to endorse owner-chef Jacqui Rey, who has been cooking professionally for 30 years and remains as passionate and dedicated as ever. Husband Jean-Francois leads the operational side, and the skills combination, backed up by an experienced, enthusiastic team, allows a creative synergy to tailor-make memorable celebrations and eating experiences.
Client profile includes Rand Merchant Bank, Investec, Porsche, Gold Circle, Unilever, Norton Rose Fulbright, Mr Price, BMW, Rewardsco and Hardy Boys, TBWA to name a few. Some of the functions require harvest tables, market day set ups, buffets, finger snacks or 3-course plated meals for any number of guests ranging from 25 to 1200. Jacqui is driven by challenge, and the excitement and detail of planning personalised occasions.
