Floristry is an art of skilfully combining colours, textures and hues of flowers together to create a floral masterpiece. We do flowers for all occassions from corporate functions to birthday celebrations, weddings, anniversary, baby and bridal showers, thank you funerals, memorial services as well as get well soon flowers. We also do a variety of gift hampers and this can be adjusted to meet clients needs.
In Gerty's flowers we pride ourselves with understanding the sentiment behind the floral gift and making it a reality for the client. There is a number of aspects that goes into creating the perfect floral gift.
It starts with the florist having a passion for what she does and having an understanding of what floral combinations and colours work well together to give depth of textures, colours and even fragrances. So floral skill is key, in Gerty's flowers we have almost 20 years of floral experience within our team.
Another aspect is the quality of flowers, we only buy the best quality flowers. Flowers come in four different gradings these specify the quality type of the flowers. Choice grade is the cream of the crop, it comes at a premium but ensures our clients gets only the best as choice grade flowers have no floral defects in colour, shape and size. Then there is 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades of flowers coming with different levels of defects.
The final touch to complete the floral gift is the wrapping or floral container, this also plays a major role in creating the magic of the perfect gift.
The client can choose from a variety of presentations ie floral basket, floral vase, clear glass vases or the classic bouquet of flowers. to help us create the magic, we like to know the recipients favourite colours, if there is a specific flower type or types.
We put a lot of heart and soul into our creations to ensure happy clients.
Our services include delivery both locally and internationally at a nominal fee. Same day delivery when orders are placed before noon on the day. International deliveries take between 24 and 72 hours depending on destination.
Events are also part of what we offer, small intimate family functions. Where we help create the script or make the script a reality. Clients can choose their setup and we coordinate the entire event from equipment hire, the DJ, lighting and sound and also the decor, we can also facilitate catering and photography.
