Mad about Maths is an owner operated tuition company based in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, with branches in Bergvliet & Claremont.   We specialize in offering tuition in Mathematics (all grades and levels), Physical & Life Sciences, as well as Accounting from Grade 8-12.  Our main aim is to provide INDIVIDUAL and PERSONALISED TUITION, in an enjoyable environment that is conducive to learning, and to assist each student to the best of our ability at a fee that is affordable to most people.  We do not view our students as a group, but each one as an individual, with their own needs and our tutoring methods are adapted accordingly.  The owner, Madelein, has been tutoring for more than 12 years and has a passion for mathematics and teaching.  She has vast experience in dealing with a variety of students from various backgrounds. Each branch has a head tutor who assists Madelein in overseeing the tutors.  Mad about Maths has a team of 25 tutors currently, and during the course of the year the number will increase as student numbers increase. All tutors are Varsity students and were the top students when they matriculated and achieved distinctions in the subjects they are tutoring. They have a love for the subjects they tutor and for tutoring itself and they are selected through rigorous interview process, where they have to complete various assessments and training procedures in order to be selected as a tutor. Their knowledge and teaching ability is constantly tested and improved.

Mad about Maths has been operating in Cape Town since June 2011 and has tutored a few thousand students over the past few years. Mad about Maths is also currently involved in a few projects in order to help improve the level of education in South Africa and has a firm belief that every student can excel in a subject with the correct support and if taught in the correct way. One of these very exciting projects is working with an NGO, Home From Home, that establishes and supports foster homes all over Cape Town.  Mad about Maths is involved by putting a tuition program and structure in place to strengthen the mathematical foundation of these students and helping them to excel in the subject moving forward. Where there is passion, there is a way.
