I am a freelance makeup artist based in Port Elizabeth and provide on-location wedding day makeup services for the bride and her retinue. I also provide makeup services for any event, be it your daughter’s Matric Dance, a school play, a photographic shoot or a special look for day wear or evening wear. I am also available to provide one-on-one
training if you want a lesson on how to apply your makeup professionally to suit your skin tone and your lifestyle.
My career as a makeup artist began long before my formal training through Smudge Makeup Academy. Every young girl likes to play and experiment with her mother’s makeup and mine began while watching my mother and her colleagues applying their stage makeup for the cabaret shows they danced in many years ago in Johannesburg.
Later, as a mother of 4 children - 2 daughters and 2 sons, I often did the makeup for my daughters and their friends during their school years for school plays and Matric Dances. I decided to do a Professional Makeup Artist Course through Smudge Makeup Academy and became a freelance artist to assist my eldest daughter one day in her own beauty salon as she is a qualified Beauty Therapist.
I am constantly inspired by new looks and trends in the makeup industry and I’m regularly learning new techniques with new products.
