Dr Hughnique Cawood from Somerset Chiropractic received an excellence award for her Masters in Chiropractic. She is known for her gentle and kind nature. She is a passionate chiropractor that enjoys treating patients from all walks of life.  Dr Cawood enjoys treating sports injuries and has a special interest in the treatment of both paediatric and geriatric patients.

At the first appointment with Dr Cawood, a thorough case history will be taken and a physical examination will be performed. This will be followed by an orthopedic, neurological and chiropractic examination. All aspects of the examination and treatment is discussed with the patient and the patient works hand in hand with her to identify the appropriate treatment and management plan for the specific case. Chiropractic treatment can be started at any age and may aid in living a better quality of life.

Dr Cawood makes use of a variety of treatment techniques ranging from gentle traditional chiropractic adjustments, activator adjustments, mobilization techniques, dry needling, blocking, scar tissue breakdown, sport strapping, ultrasound, TENS and other electro modalities. Dr Cawood is also furthering her knowledge in neuro-impulse technique and is currently doing an extra international chiropractic paediatrics certificate.   She aims to provide her patients with a variety of treatment procedures in order to assist each patient in the most appropriate manner.
