Suikersoet Custom Cakes
After being interested in wedding and function planning for years, I started Suikersoet four years ago and dived into the deep end, doing wedding planning and supplying the wedding cakes, cupcakes and eats for dessert tables, It was at a time where dessert tables at weddings were very popular and wedding cakes have started to move away from the traditional to the more modern look, and very soon the demand for the cakes, cupcakes and dessert tables was too big to handle everything all on my own. To me it very soon became apparent that the creation of exquisite cakes and cupcakes was where my passion lies, and I shifted my focus solely in that direction.
Through trial and error (and a few flops which the family was just too happy to help eat) and continuous innovation, I have built a repertoire of cake recipes, as well as cupcakes and cookies. I find it very exciting and fulfilling to create the various cakes for my clients – whether it is an ultra-modern wedding cake, three baby cakes for a 50th birthday, all decorated in jewels and gold glitter, or a smash cake for a baby’s first birthday. I also began making various styles of cupcake toppers for functions like birthdays, baby showers and wedding showers, working around themes and colours my clients requested.
Today, Suikersoet creates beautifully designed cakes and cupcakes of all kinds that is perfectly tailored to my client’s unique styles and that is a feast for the eyes and taste buds. My cakes are made from scratch with meticulous attention to detail. I believe in only using the best and freshest ingredients, therefor no pre-mixes or moulds are used to create the cakes, ensuring the best quality end products.
We also started supplying cookies of all shapes, sizes and styles to various outlets all over the Western Cape. We package it per our client’s specifications and needs.
