Mariska Botha is a certified image consultant and the founder and director of The Style Consultancy, based in George on the Garden Route.

Formerly an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa, she believes that image perception directly impacts profitability and productivity, and her own evolution from legal professional to successful image consultant gives her unique insights into both professional and personal image management.

Mariska has an innate ability to connect with people – whether an individual client or a room full of conference attendees – and her ability to set herself apart from the pack and stay true to herself, has translated into a successful business with devoted followers.

Mariska employs a positive and empowering approach to each consultation, with the aim to empower her clients through their presence, to increase their confidence, and to assist them to be better equipped to achieve their personal and professional goals. Much more than just an image consultant, she teaches her clients how to build an overall presence and craft their own personal brand, working on body image, self-acceptance, body language and communication skills in addition to hair, makeup and clothing.

Her motto is “It’s about more than the clothes, it’s also about the person.” She helps her clients to recognise those inner qualities that make them special and she shows them how to reflect those qualities on the outside through their wardrobe and personal style choices.

Mariska believes that every client is unique, and she strives to provide each of her clients with a tailor-made, unique and personalised experience, providing client specific and relevant advice rather than a generic, one-size-fits-all formula. She tailors her services to fit each individual’s specific needs and budget.

Services include one-on-one consultations and makeovers, group consultations, workshops, keynote speeches and basic make-up lessons. Mariska also loves to travel and specialises in creating travel friendly capsule wardrobe collections that are destination and season specific.

Mariska is certified through Image Innovators SA, an internationally renowned and AICI accredited image consultant training academy. Her qualifications include personal and professional branding and image management, including advanced multi-racial colour, style and wardrobe analysis.
